A Holy Martyr
Martyr
Life & Legacy
On this day, the Church honors the memory of holy men and women who gave their lives for the faith. Their names may be lost to history, but they are known to God. "The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church." — Tertullian
A Prayer
Almighty God, by whose grace and power your holy martyrs triumphed over suffering and were faithful unto death: Grant us, who now remember them in thanksgiving, to be so faithful in our witness to you in this world, that we may receive with them the crown of life. Amen.
